FSMOwnerDefault has to be public?
« on: May 18, 2016, 11:40:05 AM »
Hello,

I am trying to not set FSMOwnerDefault as public as to not show in action since I don't need to be selected, want it behind the scenes. But if I don't declare it public, it is null. Is this a design choice or a bug?

Thanks,
jrDev

Hi,

I think this is simply a case that wasn't initially thought to happen.

you can get away with this however by simply providing a custom editor, leave it public but provide a different interface where it will not be shown.

If you have trouble with creating a custom action editor, let me know. but plenty of examples available ( check the quaternion methods on the wiki for example, or if you are part of the beta, from the latest 1.8).

 Bye,

 Jean
