Why itween remove from playmaker?

Hi,

Why itween remove from native playmaker?  Is there a better native alternative?
I know I can add that back in from add-on.

Hi,

 iTween is a sub optimal solution now, that's why it's out of the package. however you can still add it back from the playmaker welcome screen, go to "Addons" scroll all the way to the bottom and import the itween addon.

I'm having a hard time finding the iTween add on. Is it still available? I have a few projects that relied heavily on it. What is the recommended replacement?

EDIT: Found it. I was looking on the Wiki, but I found it through the welcome screen.

Sorry for the bump on this thread Jean, but are you saying there’s going to be some official playmaker tween function in the next release?

I have some movements that I was using itween for before, but would use the new tween functions if they’re coming before I get too deep in development.

I also started to learn with iTween. But, not stable. Some actions not even working.
So, I switched to Hotweenv2 + Playmaker Actions for DOTween by Doozy. Working like a champ

What kind of issues were you having with itween? I used it quite a bit with Playmaker and had some problems with adding/subtracting variables for movement distance but it was more than likely me doing it wrong!

I’ll check out hotween/ dotween. How are the 2 related btw? Are they different tween addons?

itween is outdated and slow compared to the other tweens.

hotween and dotween are both from the same author
dotween is the latest version

itween won't work with rigidbody.
Doozy's action has over 100+ actions for playmaker. especially lot o action for Rigidbody.
I use doozy's action with Free hotween.

I think there is another free action packs for dotween in Action's section on playmaker forum. I never used that, you may try that

Jean can you elaborate on what kind of tween actions (i.e. DOTween, other, Playmaker own custom)?

I’m considering getting DOTween and their actions but don’t want to jump the gun if you guys have something coming out

Hi,

 Go for dotween, you can't go wrong with this even if we provide in time some built in tweening, it will never be as complete as dotween.

Yes, PlayMaker will soon sport some tweening actions, but they are still in beta so it's not set how/what they will provide.
