My main issue with playmaker workflow
« on: February 17, 2020, 08:25:38 AM »
I've been using Playmaker for many years and this is my main workflow issue with playmaker. Basically, very often when I'm ready to test and hit enter playmode button, playmaker changes FSM that I'm looking at (debugging), so I have to select it manually again. Today I've finally noticed when it happens. It happens if object that doesn't have that FSM is selected, when I enter play mode. Lock feature doesn't help.

Here's demonstration of the issue.
Maybe I'm missing something and there some setting that can fix this?

Just a suggestion, maybe you can use Toggle Breakpoint to that one FSM you're watching(debugging)?

The Lock feature is simply ignored during play. Please read the documentation.
Also, just kidding, it's probably a bug or a fault in design.  ;D
Lock should not be denied at runtime.
The Graph View acts like a web browser, comes with ◀︎ and ▶︎ arrows and sometimes it even forgets the "pages" (FSMs) chronology too.
Currently, the only solution is to click on ◀︎ (top left corner of Graph View) to go back to the previous FSM.

That's exactly what I'm currently doing to get to FSM I want to watch. I would love to get rid of all those extra clicks and attention switches.

I find I have to click back, but then forwards again. Like back goes to second last (as if it's still on the correct one when it's not), so I have to click forward again to go back to what I was on.
