Pooling Problems
« on: January 07, 2021, 08:33:31 PM »
Hello,

I am currently using the destroy object action to remove an object from my scene. However, I have been told using pooling that this will save on performance. However, when I go to the ecosystem and downloading the pooling actions, I get error messages. How do I accomplish the same affect with or without pooling? Also, this is a bigger issue, but why do some actions from the ecosystem cause errors as this has happened before. I am honestly scared to download anything from there for fear of ruining my project. Thanks!

I downloaded Pooler from ecosystem and it is working fine. What error do you see?

hi.
You probably downloaded 'Pool Manager'
you will need to get Pool manager asset (asset store) before importing the actions.

or use Pooler, its a simple pool system that does not require a asset.

Don't worry, downloading from the eco system is safe. The pooler actions are good and will get set you up nicely.

Like anything in Playmaker/Unity, pooling can be a bit of a brain squeeze at first, but it's a very simple concept and easy to do once you've got your head around it.
