How to see which FSMs are using a custom action?
« on: February 19, 2014, 06:33:30 PM »
How do I find the FSMs that are using a specific custom action?

I had written a custom action that has since been depreciated. It was used in a dozen or so FSMs throughout our game. I'd like to be able to remove it for good without worrying about breaking something somewhere.

Hi,

It's not ideal for proper refactoring, but the action browser shows actions usages, right click on actions that has
  • next to them and it will tell you where it's used.

that only works if you play the scene, so if you have your action in a prefab, difficult if your prefab is not used during the session you are willing to refactor.

bye,

 Jean
